cherokee bennett

Cherokee Bennett (she/her) is from Island Kentucky and began dancing at the age of 3. She received training from Joy Johnson’s dance studio as a young child and throughout high school. Cherokee was a company member with Owensboro Dance Theatre for five years. She is a recent graduate from Western Kentucky University, receiving her BA in Dance and a minor in Art Administration. As a WKU student, she was a member of the WKU Dance Company and the WKU National dance education organization. Cherokee attended several summer programs including Giordano Dance Chicago, John Lehrer Dance, David Dorfman Dance, Joffrey Ballet, Moon Water Dance Chicago, Numinous Flux Dance Nashville, Indiana University, and Inside Dance Chicago. Cherokee has also worked closely with Owensboro Dance Theatre as a teacher and rehearsal assistant. Most recently she is a company member for imPULSE dance project and mixtamotus.
