#FILTERED (2023)

Materializing out of mixatmotus’ obsession with the human-machine relationship and social media, #Filtered explores the age-old idiom "beauty is in the eye of the beholder" in a tongue-in-cheek journey of perfectionism between the digital and real self. The interplay between the real self, puppeteering the digital self, and vice versa—as represented by five dancers, unique larger-than-life generative projections, and original music—deciphers the measurement of beauty and how ultimately beauty can be found within. #Filtered premiered May 11-13, 2023 in the Dallas Arts District at the 6th Floor Studio Theatre as a part of the 2023 season of the AT&T Performing Arts Center Elevator Project.
